Dear Educators and Learners,

Welcome to Sine Halaga Film Festival

Sine Halaga served as a platform for 12 filmmakers showcasing their short films that tell beautiful stories rooted in their respective localities. These films represent the Twenty (20) defined list of core Filipino values and among these are; life and purpose, care for the environment, human rights, peace, honesty, and integrity.

Sine Halaga is the evolving story of the Filipino People

The NCCA Filipino Values Short Film Program 2020 gives a platform to all filmmakers to tell beautiful stories rooted in their localities that depict one or more of the 20 identified Filipino Values in the NCCA Study on Filipino Values. This provides an opportunity to discuss values through the stories of our people, shooting in particular regions and featuring local actors and production teams led by the selected filmmaker.

Sine Halaga is more than the social values we all share. It is about the Filipino people's aspirations, struggles, commitments, excellence and desire to constantly change for the better.
